Environmental Consulting Services

Allterra specializes in investigating and remediating properties with soil and groundwater contamination.  Our work requires a diverse skill set: engineering, geology, hydrology, chemistry, biology, environmental sciences, and construction.

Phase I Environmental Site Assessments

Banks require Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) prior to property transactions in order to identify historical property uses that may raise a “red flag” for potential contamination.  Allterra’s Phase I ESA’s are prepared by Registered Environmental Assessors (Level2) and comply with ASTM E-1527-2005, the All Appropriate Inquiries (AAI), and provide the user with CERCLA protection or Innocent Purchaser or Land Owner Defense.

Phase II Site Investigations

If contamination at a site is known or suspected, a Phase II Site Investigation is performed to determine the type of pollutants and the extent of contamination.  For this critical phase, Allterra develops site investigation work scopes that pinpoint sources of contamination so we can focus our remediation efforts.

Site Remediation

Successful remediation of a contaminated site requires the collaboration of Engineers, Geologists, Contractors, and Regulatory Agencies.  Allterra has a proven track record for the design, permitting, construction, and operation and maintenance (O&M) of remediation systems and other remedial approaches.

Case Closures

Allterra’s top priority is achieving Case Closure as quickly and cost effectively as possible.  Since 2004, we have obtained nine case closures for sites in the San Francisco and Monterey Bay Regions.
